Tom Yam Soup
This delicious Thai Soup is known and loved all over the world. The ‘hot’ is from red chillies and the ‘sour’ from fresh lemon or lime juice. The Thai word Tom means boiled, whilst Yam is hot & tangy (salad) and Goong means prawns.
It's a highly aromatic soup - warming in the winter and refreshing in the summer. I like to serve it with all the pieces of lemongrass and galangal left in as you would have it in Thailand. The fragrance of these lovely fresh ingredients simmering in the kitchen always gets people excited as they arrive at the house for dinner.
